The RCMP Musical Ride Sunset Ceremonies
The Musical Ride Sunset Ceremonies are an Ottawa tradition, featuring the renowned RCMP Musical Ride. Usually taking place the week leading up to Canada Day, at the Musical Ride Centre at 1 Sandridge Rd. The show goes on rain or shine, except in extreme weather.
The ceremony also showcases a display of equestrian skill and music from the RCMP/Ottawa Police Services pipes and drums and the Central Band of the Canadian Armed Forces. In past years it has also featured a demonstration by the Ottawa Valley Search and Rescue Dog Association and a Kids Zone with a petting zoo, an obstacle course and face painting.

The CHEO Teddy Bears’ Picnic
The Teddy Bears’ Picnic is another great Ottawa tradition for families. The day is packed with activities for everyone of any age from children to parents and Grandparents. The picnic takes place at the Governor General’s residence at Rideau Hall.
Years past have included a celebrity pancake breakfast, constant entertainment on the stage, rides and games. The star of the event is the B*A*S*H (Bear Ambulatory Surgical Hospital) Tent, where children can bring their teddy bears and other stuffed animals for checkups, repairs or even a visit with the dentist. Italian Week Festival
Love cars, culture and food? The Ottawa Italian Week Festival is full of exiting activities for the whole family. Preston street becomes the place to be to experience culture and make lasting memories. In past years the car show and parade have been a big hit with big kids and little kids alike.
