Gate Pose

Description / Explanation

• From a kneeling position bring one foot onto the floor on a slight angle with the knee bent at 90 degrees
• Extend the bent leg to a straight leg position
• Lengthen spine
• Extend arms out to the side
• With open chest as you exhale slide the arm that is on the same side as the lengthened leg down the leg.
• Extend the other arm up and over as you hug that bicep towards your ear
• With an open chest create the intention of taking your heart towards the sky

• Assists digestion
