Bhramari Pranayama | Bumble Bee Breath

Bhramari, Bumble Bee Breath, creates a bee-like sound. The breath traditionally makes a buzzing sound on the inhale and exhale, but, as the inhale can be quite challenging, many just create the sound on the exhale. This breath releases tension, helps reduce insomnia, and can strengthen the voice and throat.

Instructions
Sitting comfortably, inhale slowly, pause and then as you exhale create an “eeeeeee” sound.
Try to keep the sound steady as you exhale.

Here are some activities you can try while practicing your Bhramari Breath:
Honeybee and blue flower

  1. Buzzing Bees Around the Room
  2. Bee Resting on a Flower – flying around room and when music stops they rest on top of their flower and “buzz”
  3. Singing Bees – create a round. Have the room starts their bee breath and when they are half down the other half starts
