Having a baby can leave us feeling like we have a lot of questions during “normal” times but during a pandemic such as Covid-19 that we are currently experiencing we know that you could have a lot more questions and wondering about some of the unknowns.
Amanda recently shared her top 5 tips if you are having a baby during Covid-19 with local media and we thought you would love to have these tips as well.
- Don’t hesitate to ask questions! Ask questions to your healthcare providers, birth place of choice and anywhere else you feel you would like to. There is no such thing as too many questions
- Make a detailed list BEFORE your due date to ensure you are bringing everything you need to your birthplace of choice if you are leaving your home.
- Know what resources are available to you for the postpartum period BEFORE you bring your baby home.
- Set expectations up now for family and friends and don’t be afraid to ask for help still! Just keep it in a social distancing fashion.
- Consider self-quarantining for yourself and your birth partner for at least 14 days before giving birth.
