We recently were invited to stay at the Chelsea Hotel Toronto for a weekend escape. Home is in the Ottawa/Gatineau region so we love discovering in Cities that are an easy escape for us with our 3 little ones and Toronto is just a short drive away!
The Chelsea Hotel is Canada’s largest hotel and is truly a resort in the City! Over 1500 guest rooms with many options, we stayed in a gorgeous one bedroom suite, there is definitely something for everybody!
Some of the Hotels Features:
*Heated indoor pool for the kids with an indoor corkscrew water slide!
*Kid Centre– tons of activities for the kids and there are even 2 live bunnies! For an additional cost you can also leave your children to be supervised in the Kid Centre.
*Club 33 is the perfect place for your teens (or your husbands!) who want to play in the arcade or experience their on site Xbox.
*Deck 27 Adult only heated indoor swimming pool, whirlpool and fitness centre is a great place to not only view the Toronto skyline but also to escape for some quiet and relaxation.
*Camp Chelsea- YES! You can drop your children off (for an additional cost) from 9-5 Monday to Friday and they can have a fun filled week while you explore and relax.
*Birthing Parties– Yep, they will actually organize your birthday party for you! Bring the kids for a play, swim and have the hotel birthday coordinator look after all the details!
*Numerous onsite restaurants, including casual and cosmopolitan, so something for everybody! Enjoy Market Garden for grab & go or market style food (we had one of our breakfasts, lunch and dinners here, tons of options!) Express | O Coffee & Wine Bar, lots of coffee and wine options along with delicious desserts (I LOVED the croissants while my kids LOVED the cake pops!) and T| Bar offers an a la carte menu with delicious local ingredients. Something that really stood out to us was how fresh the food was which can be a challenge when you are cooking for so many people at a hotel/resort and the number of options there were that were gluten free, vegetarian, nut free, etc.
*Show Your Key & Save! Get great savings at Ripleys Aquarium, The ROM, Elmwood Spa, the Art Gallery and many other places when you stay at the Chelsea Toronto.
And with Family Day coming up in Ontario very soon there is an action packed weekend of fun planned at The Chelsea! Your kids can have a WII Sportacular fun play with the staff playing baseball, tennis and other wii sports! Face painting? Yes! Crafts (isn’t it always better to leave the sparkle and glue play up to somebody else?!) and movie nights (my kids would definitely be excited to watch Kung Fu Panda 2 and The Lego Movie!)
And it gets even better! I know, you are thinking…….it gets better?!
Rates for Family Day weekend are only $135/night!

I love that corkscrew slide. The Chelsea has been our place to stay in Toronto since 2008, even through name changes and renovations. Brian can actually relax at that hotel.
