The Extraordinary Baby Shoppe was the first speciality baby store that I ever shopped at in Ottawa and from that day on I have been a loyal customer. It is a fantastic store that is owned by a lovely lady named Susie Pearson. Susie and her staff continue to make their customers feel welcomed each and every visit.
Whether you are just browsing and checking out their selection in the funky neighbourhood of Hintonburg, or are on a mission to purchase cloth diapers, looking for a new baby carrier, baby toys, swim diapers or more, chances are they have it! If they don’t have it they will always let you know where you can find it. That is one of the things I love about this store. They always put the customers best interest first.
Want to purchase a baby carrier but they don’t think it will serve your needs long term? They will tell you up front because they don’t want you to spend money that you will later regret. Instead they will walk you through your options, let you try them all out and make an informed decision that works best for you and your family.
I continue to purchase all of my cloth diapers and many of my baby carriers from this store. Sunscreen is always stocked and there are a variety of all natural selections, the padraigs are super cute and comfy (and there are adult sizes too!), pick up a rain suit for your tot, or a swim suit and hat for those hot sunny days.
I love walking into a store where they know your name and have taken the time to get to know you and your family. As we prepare for baby #3’s arrival I know there will be many more trips to this store in the near future!

Or even better…….take a trip over to Hintonburg, enjoy a lovely play at one of the local parks, pick up some fresh fruit and lovely flowers at the Parkdale Market, pop into the Extraordinary Baby Shoppe and then end your day with some yummy bridgehead treats and coffee!
Warmly,
Amanda
