The snow has been falling a lot in Ottawa and on the days that it is not too chilly we LOVE playing outside! My 3 year old goes to an outdoor focused preschool a few days a week and could stay outside all day. If only I could keep up in the cooler weather.
We decided to play around a little bit with making different shapes in the snow with our bodies. What fun we had! One of us would make a shape and the others would have to guess and we would take turns.
Lay down on your back or tummy and strike a warrior 2 position or a tree with your arms reaching above your head. There is nothing like seeing the body position of a cute little reclined butterfly that has been laying in the snow.
The tricky part? Trying to roll gracefully out of your “posture” to leave it somewhat visible for the rest of your family to guess what it was.
What are your favourite outdoor playtime activities that you like to do with your family?
