I don’t know about you but September 1st and January 1st are my favourite times of the year. They both feel like a FRESH start. It’s like a wide open brand new book and you get to decide what story to write. You can leave things in the past behind, carry forward only those things you wish to and take a big deep breath of the best fresh air ever.
But I know for some it can feel overwhelming.
What if I set goals and they don’t happen or are unachievable?
Do I even need to set intentions…….what the heck are intentions anyways?
I like things how they are…..static quo….you know…..change can be hard!
So this year I wanted to lend you a helping hand and let you take a sneak peek into how I jump into the New Year feel refreshed, revitalized and energized for the year ahead. Let’s take away the overwhelm, let’s dial the hype back and let’s make it a year for YOU. Your goals, big or small, YOU get to define them.
Ready?
This is YOUR year.
YOUR year to live the life you want.
YOUR year to CREATE the life you want.
ALL OF IT.
Believe it.
Feel it.
Watch it come alive.
All too often we are thinking about “what is next”…..
“How can I achieve this?”
“How can I achieve more?”
“I could have done better”
“I wish it wasn’t like that”
BUT….LISTEN UP!
When was the last time you took a minute to actually celebrate all that you DO do?
Big or small. Large or not.
Celebrate it. Acknowledge the wins. Acknowledge the little things. The hundreds of little things that you accomplished, experienced and loved on in 2018. Because those little things are your LIFE. They are pretty freaking magical!
It’s not conceited to celebrate them. It’s not bragging. It’s not being a bitch.
Look around at who is watching you closely. Our kids are. So even if it’s hard let’s do it for them, ok?
What are you most proud of?
What are you most grateful for?
What are your favourite memories from 2018?
When you close your eyes and think about 2018 what memories make a smile automatically come to your face?
Write them down! Grab your journal and share them! Document them so you can come back to them again and again and again.

Close your eyes.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Breathe a little deeper.
How you want to FEEL this year?
What would it look like if you could create, be and do anything you wanted in the year ahead?
What would your days look like? What would you spend them doing?
Who would you spend your time with?
Where would you spend your time?
This is the place for you to dream. Manifest.
Don’t hold yourself back. Don’t set any rules as to what your vision board should look like, could look like or must look like.
Do it digitally on the computer or get out your fave pictures, magazines and glue sticks. This is for YOU. xo

Don’t allow judgement to creep in…….
No second guessing. No thinking “I shouldn’t feel that way”
Let it FLOW. FEEL. You deserve it! xo
So many times vision boards get created and then shoved into a corner, off to the side or forgotten about
Put your vision board somewhere you will see it daily. Let it inspire you! Reflect. Feel it.
Want to add something that is feeling right for you mid year? DO IT! Allow yourself to pivot. Change things up. Nothing is ever set it stone.
The only rule? Listen to your heart and that voice inside that is wanting to guide you. It never fails you. xo
